Many guests have asked about park hopping with the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass. We have BIG news that we are actually thrilled about.
New Booking Selections
The process to book both Lightning Lane Multi Pass selections and your Individual Lightning Lane selections is now streamlined quite a bit which makes advanced planning even easier.
Now you can purchase both the Lightning Lane Single Pass and the Multi Pass in the same transaction. You can see initial pricing and a detailed guide to making your Lightning Lane selections HERE.
Since this is the first day for Lightning Lane, we are still learning the new system. We do have great news for guests hoping to Park Hop.
Park Hopping
Previously, guests could purchase Disney Genie+ for a single park or they could purchase for “Multiple Parks”. The pricing for “Multiple Parks” was at the highest price point and typically the same pricing as Magic Kingdom.
When news was first released for the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass, it appeared that if you were to purchase a Lightning Lane Multi Pass for Disney’s Animal Kingdom and then park hopped to Magic Kingdom you would have to pay the difference.
According to a notification on X by Scott Gustin, guests do not have to pay an additional fee to park hop. Guests must first redeem their first Lightning Lane Multi Pass attraction in their first park. After this, you can book a Lightning Lane for a different park with any tier that is still available.
Big Savings
We are hoping that this is not simply a glitch that Disney will soon correct. If this remains the same, you can start at a lower-priced park such as Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and later make Lightning Lane selections to park hop to Magic Kingdom (which is typically the most expensive park).
No extra fee to park hop with Lightning Lane Multi Pass
Please note that you must have a Park Hopper ticket or a Walt Disney World Annual Pass, to make selections at a different park.
Do you think Disney will change this free park hopping? If this remains free will this change your Walt Disney World travel plans? Share your thoughts with us and share this news with your Disney pals.

Chances are very high they'll be sold out by the time you hop. Anyone staying in property has a 7 day jump on you going forward!
