By now you know Disney is making some huge changes to Genie+. The new system is a paid system that is more akin to FastPass+

Guests will be able to purchase the service in advance and make up to 3 selections for Lightning Lane access attractions in advance. Disney will still profit from offering this service, and Guests will be able to pre-plan their selections.

Pricing actually DROPS at times as the system rolls out. By July 26, it has dropped to $28 for Magic Kingdom, $19 for EPCOT, $24 for Hollywood Studios, and $17 for Animal Kingdom.

Prices dip as low as $25, $18 for EPCOT, $22 for Hollywood Studios, and $16 for Animal Kingdom for Magic Kingdom on select dates. Demand will govern pricing, and it will likely creep up for peak dates.

The same trend is true for Lightning Lane Single Pass. TRON seems to be consistently $20, but the other attractions vary in price depending on the date.

Hate this, will NOT use it and will not renew my Annual Pass because of this.

I can’t help but wonder if the reason they came up with this system is because they weren’t selling Genie + the way they’d hoped to. This advanced purchase option gives people FOMO and they are more likely to purchase it before knowing what the crowds and the wait times of the day will look like while they are there.

@Tami, No the weren't selling like Disney had hoped it would. Not only did Disney modify this they have now trimmed down the DAS system to FORCE disabled people (legitimate ones as well as abusers) to purchase this money grab system. People who really need the DAS are being declined and told to just buy the pass or wait in-line regardless if they have a seizure, pee on the floor, or a host of other issues that happen when some are kept for lengthy times in close tight quarters. This has FORCED many to fork over more $or don't enjoy the park as intended. It's a nightmare for those waiting in line as well, particularly with wheelchairs running over their feet and having to move out of the way for the ECV when they have to leave then get back in line etc. It also encourages line jumping which is also a huge issue that Disney does nothing about. Disney magic is slowly disappearing. It won't be long before there is no more
