A Fan Favorite Harry Potter Attraction is Temporarily Closing

The theming and attractions of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter makes Universal Studios a must do for any fan of the franchise. However, one of the fan favorite attractions is temporarily closing! Here are the dates.

Wizarding World of Harry Potter

If you are a fan of either the Harry Potter books or the movies, Universal Orlando is a great place to visit. It is the home to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and it is an amazing experience for fans who want to immerse themselves in the stories!

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is the crown jewel of Universal Studios. The two lands, Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade, are so immersively themed that it takes your breath away.

Diagon Alley is located in Universal Studios Florida while Hogsmeade can be found in Islands of Adventure. The Hogwarts Express connects the two areas via train. We recommend having the park-to-park ticket so you can travel back and forth and experience this cool attraction!

Temporarily Closing

Speaking of the Hogwarts Express, it is temporarily closing later this year. This is sure to be a disappointment for Guests who were hoping to easily transport from Diagon Alley to Hogsmeade and vice versa.

However, the good news is it will be only be closed from November 4-7, 2024! This is an incredibly short closure, so it appears only small issues need to be fixed.

If you are visiting on any of those days and you have Park-to-Park tickets, you will need to leave the park through the main entrance and enter the other park via that main entrance. That’s quite a bit of walking! It may be helpful to rearrange your park plans.

In honor of Harry Potter’s 44th birthday, Universal will be sharing more details regarding Epic Universe’s Harry Potter land: Ministry of Magic. We are very excited to see what will be included as far as attractions and food!
