New Upgraded FuelRods Have Arrived at Disney but With a Big Price Increase

There is no denying that you need your mobile device when visiting Disney parks to maximize your day. FuelRod has just had a big upgrade to their device, but the price tag has gone up, too.

FuelRods are portable device chargers that can be purchased inside and outside Disney parks. The unique aspect of FuelRods, however, is that these devices can either be recharged on your own or swapped for a fresh FuelRod via a kiosk.

Currently, all swaps at the Walt Disney World resort are free of charge! This is a HUGE perk and benefit for the use of FuelRods on your next trip!

It is important to note that the FuelRod kiosks are third-party owned and operated, so Disney cast members cannot troubleshoot them. For everything you need to know about FuelRods at Disney read HERE.

NEW FuelRod Kit

The new FuelRod kit has big improvements! It now has 23% more power capacity, an LED power indicator, a Faster USB-C connection, and a power on/off switch.

The new kit now is compatible with USB-C.

The new FuelRod kit includes:

One fully charged portable charger
One 3.5” USB-C to USB-C cable (for Android devices and iPhone generation 15+)
One USB micro adapter (needed for some Android devices)
One 3.5” USB-C to Apple Lightning cable (for iPhone generations 14 and prior)
One adapter for USB-A connections

We did mention there was a price increase. The price for the new FuelRod kits has gone up quite a bit. One rod is now $38 (up from $30), two rods are $76 (up from $60), and three rods are $114 (up from $90).

Current FuelRod users can swap for a new FuelRod kit for the same price as a swap, and at Disney that price is FREE!

If you have an old FuelRod you can swap for a new FuelRod kit for the same price as a regular swap. When you make this swap at Disney, your upgrade to the new kit is FREE! Be sure to swap out your old FuelRod for the new FuelRod kit on your next Disney vacation.
