Experience a Rare Extended Evening Hours Event at Animal Kingdom

Here is something we don’t get often: Extended Evening Hours at Animal Kingdom! Here is when you can experience this rare treat.

Extended Evening Hours

Guests staying at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts can experience the parks at nighttime after everyone else has left. It is one of the many great benefits of staying at these high tier resorts.

Typically, Epcot hosts EEH on Monday and Magic Kingdom hosts EEH on Wednesday. This has been the case for the last few years, with a few exceptions.

For the most part, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom are left out of the EEH fun. This is especially true at Animal Kingdom because the animals need their beauty sleep!

EEH Coming to Animal Kingdom

It’s a bit hard to see Animal Kingdom lit up at night because it closes so early. That is a real shame because the park is so beautiful at night! Pandora, in particular, is lit up with bioluminescent flora and other effects.

Guests who are staying in a Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resort can enjoy EEH at Animal Kingdom this fall. For one night early, October 11, Animal Kingdom will be open from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

So far, we are unaware of any other dates Animal Kingdom will be hosting this special event.

What will be open?

At previous EEH events, the following attractions were open:

• Avatar Flight of Passage
• DINOSAUR
• Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain
• It’s Tough to be a Bug!
• Meet Favorite Disney Pals at Adventurers Outpost
• Na’vi River Journey
• TriceraTop Spin

Note the Kilimanjaro Safaris will not be open since you can’t see the animals well at night.

If I was spending the evening at Animal Kingdom for EEH, I would spend a lot of my time in Pandora!
