It appears some kind of emergency is currently taking place at The Most Magical Place on Earth today. Multiple attractions in two particular lands are currently closed. Here is what we know so far.
Closures
Closures occur all the time at Disney Parks. Sometimes it’s because of weather or planned refurbishments. Other times, it could be more serious.
Do you remember when a bear was spotted in Frontierland last year? And no it wasn’t a Country Bear! Read that story HERE.
No bears have been spotted today, but is definitely something going on at Magic Kingdom.
Multiple Attractions Closed
This morning, several attractions in Frontierland and Liberty Square are closed. These lands have attractions, restaurants, shops, and even the parade route for Festival of Fantasy.
Currently, the following attractions are closed: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Country Bear Musical Jamboree, Hall of Presidents, Liberty Square Riverboat, and Tom Sawyer Island. It appears Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Haunted Mansion are still up and running, which is extremely odd.
At this time, we are not sure what is happening at the park right now. We do know there is a plumbing truck parked outside Liberty Tree Tavern by the Liberty Bell.
What does this mean for you?
If you have Lightning Lane return times, dining reservations, or plans to watch the Festival of Fantasy parade you may be out of luck. We have no idea what is going on or when operations will return to normal.
Frontierland and Liberty Square are completely closed to Guests this morning, August 3.
We will update this post as news becomes available, so be sure to bookmark this page and check back! Hopefully things are back up and running soon so Guests can enjoy these areas of the park.
Are you at the Magic Kingdom today? Have you been told anything by Cast Members about these closures? Please let us know in the comments below! And, share this post with your family or friends who are in the park today.
