Toy Story is the first film ever created by Pixar, and ever since then the story and characters have captivated our hearts. The films follow Buzz, Woody, and the gang as they escape Al’s toy barn, a daycare, and the dreaded attic.

The movies have even spawned an entire land in Hollywood Studios! Hop on Slinky, swirl around with the aliens, and eat in Andy’s backyard.

Earlier this year, we learned that this 5th movie will debut on June 19, 2026 pending no pushbacks, of course. Read more about the release date HERE.

During the Pixar segment of the entertainment presentation at the D23 event, Disney shared more about the storyline. Will the toys be fighting against someone like Al or Gabby Gabby?

No, it appears they will be fighting against…electronics.

In the teaser photo, posted above, you can see the toys staring at a kid playing on an electronic device. The look on their faces look so sad and bewildered! With the ways kids play shifting from toys to electronics, this feels all too appropriate.
