Zootopia 2 Brings New Stories and Characters

Disney has been discussing Zootopia possibly coming to theme parks and the movie sequel. Until now, we haven’t had any information on Zootopia 2. That’s all changed though!

Sequel Details

Walt Disney Animation Studios has released the first footage for “Zootopia 2,” the sequel to its 2016 movie. Ginnifer Goodwin, who voices the original police bunny, introduced the sequel at D23, promising the return of favorite characters from the first film.

Nick Wilde and Judy Hoppes go undercover to new parts of town with new animal characters in Zootopia 2.

New characters include Gary, a reptile voiced by Ke Huy Quan, who will play a significant role in Nick and Judy’s new case, marking the first reptile appearance in Zootopia.

Release Details

The 2016 Zootopia movie grossed more than $1 billion. It also won the Oscar for Best Animated Film that year, so expectations are high for the sequel.

Zootopia 2 will be released in theaters on November 26, 2025.

Typically, Thanksgiving movie releases do very well at the box office.
