Big Disney news just keeps coming. Disney Cruise Line has just announced that they will be adding four more ships to their fleet!
Four New Ships
Just announced: FOUR more ships will be joining the Disney Cruise Line fleet. The four new ships will arrive between 2027 and 2031.
Disney Cruise Line will add four more ships to their fleet between 2027 and 2031.
Right now, there are five ships in the fleet. But don’t forget there are already four other ships that are being made. With the addition of these four new ships, the Disney Cruise Line fleet will have a grand total of 13 ships! All of the new ships’ names, designs, and even itineraries are still in development.
Disney Cruise Line Shows
Disney shared some of the exciting shows that will be featured on Disney Cruise Line’s ships that will set sail very soon. The Disney Destiny will begin sailing next year and will feature “Disney Hercules.” This show will have music and characters from the classic animated film.
Te Kā will be a 15-foot-tall puppet that is featured in the “Disney The Tale of Moana” show aboard the Disney Treasure.
Guests sailing on the Disney Treasure (sailing later this year) will see “Disney The Tale of Moana.” This show will feature Te Kā. Te Kā will be a 15-foot-tall puppet! This is the largest puppet ever produced for a DCL show.

We are excited to learn that Disney Cruise Line will be adding four additional new ships in addition to the four new ships we already knew about. Will we book a cruise on the new ships? Maybe. For us, cruising is all about the itinerary first, and then the cruise line and ship. We do love the Disney Cruise Line quality. It all depends on the itinerary.
