During D23 2022, concept art for a possible new Villains Land in Walt Disney World was revealed. At last year’s D23 event, the parks panel also included Blue Sky announcements with exciting possibilities. At that time, Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, announced a potential huge expansion for the Magic Kingdom behind Big Thunder Mountain.

Villains Land will be located at Disney’s Magic Kingdom as part of the “Beyond Big Thunder” expansion.

And now, at this weekend’s D23 event, Disney finally released details on the new Villains Land!

It’s no surprise that fans reacted enthusiastically to the idea of Villains Land. Many people love Disney Villains because they are so fun to interact with.

Imagine visiting characters like Maleficent, Ursula, Jafar, Cruella, Hades, Yzma, and other villains and enjoying attractions devoted to them. Could “Pull the lever, Kronk” become the concept for an attraction? The possibilities are endless.

This means that happily ever after may feel like just a distant dream. The evil ambitions of these Villains open up endless possibilities for the stories that can be told, so visitors to this dark and thorny land should be prepared for whatever chaos might come their way.

Josh D’Amaro announced that there will be 2 attractions, dining, shopping, and more. Follow our Kenny the Pirate Blog to get the latest news as it is released.

I'll believe it when I see it. It took them 4 yrs to build that ridiculous moanna walk through micro water park that breaks down often. It's a once and done for most and we live next to Fort Wilderness and in the parks often . These projects wont be completed before 10 yrs. Plus. Unfortunately Most Blue Sky projects never see the light of day. Stock at lowest, parks are at lowest attendance, except for 1 most movies tanked, food prices are up again, 2 and 3 rides down daily. Tiana down hrs everyday . Bathroom faucets don't work and outdated. Garbage cans overflowing. Cut backs are real. We see it! Billions in debt but spending 30 billion on parks. Watch, WDW will get the least and take the longest to get. WDW the cash cow.
