Monsters Inc is coming to Disney World! Hollywood Studios will have a brand new land with an attraction, shopping, and more. Disney has not confirmed where this new land will be, but we just heard some interesting information.
Monsters Inc
The new land will allow guests to stroll alongside their favorite monsters in a lively and not-at-all-scary environment. After the events of Pixar Animation Studios’ beloved film, humans have been invited to visit the world of Monsters Inc. The monsters need laughter to power the city and keep it running smoothly.
A visit wouldn’t be complete without seeing the factory itself. Visitors will be able to see the sights, hear the laughs, and even zoom through the building just like Sulley and Mike Wazowski—via a door!
Work is slated to begin next year, but we do have one big question: WHERE IS THIS LAND GOING?!
Some guesses
Animation Courtyard is a logical choice for Monsters Inc. The space is not currently used to its full potential, and Star Wars is scattered elsewhere in the park. Plus, this could be connected to both Pixar Place and Toy Story Land.
People are also speculating that Muppets will be demolished to make way for Monsters Inc. However, we believe that Galaxy’s Edge will likely be expanded in the future to connect to Star Tours.
Disney will probably have to do some rearranging, and they may even have to close some attractions to make way. In fact, Disney is already closing a show, but we aren’t for sure if it has anything to do with Monsters Inc.
Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy and Little Mermaid shows
The Little Mermaid show is set to reopen sometime this fall, but we haven’t heard hardly anything about it since late last year. There may be some rearranging with the live stage shows.
We can confirm that Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy is closing in October. What if…the Little Mermaid stage show moves to that theater, allowing Disney to demolish the current Little Mermaid theater for more Monsters Inc. space?
Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy is closing in October.
This also leaves us wondering about the fate of the Disney Junior Play & Dance show and the meet and greets in that area. Of course, all of this is speculation except for the fact that Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy IS closing in just a few months.
Would this be a good space for the new Monsters Inc. land? Or do you think somewhere else is better suited? Let us know in the comments below, and share this post with a friend.
