Many Disney fans have their favorite snacks they like to enjoy at the Disney Parks. Earlier guests were upset when big menu changes hit Sleepy Hollow at Magic Kingdom. Now a favorite menu item returns, but there is a catch.
Sleepy Hollow
Sleepy Hollow is located in Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom. You actually pass it on your way to the Hub from Liberty Square. The menu is rather simple with corn dogs, waffle sandwiches, and funnel cakes, but this is a must-do for many Disney foodies.
Unfortunately, the waffle sandwiches are completely removed from the menu. This includes the Sweet-and-Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich and the Fresh Fruit and Chocolate-Hazelnut Waffle Sandwich.
This is a big change as the Fresh Fruit and Nutella Waffle Sandwich has been a favorite of mine (Donna) for the past 5 years. This removal did bring new menu options.
Fan-Favorite Returns
The Sleepy Hollow menu looks a bit different now. In place of waffle sandwiches are a few Mickey waffle options. In the beginning, this included two fruit options. One is with strawberries, blueberries, and whipped cream.
The second fruit option is a sliced banana with a chocolate hazelnut drizzle. Guests hoping to enjoy the Fresh Fruit Waffle as before could do so by ordering a side order of fruit with the chocolate-hazelnut spread and banana waffle.
Today, Sleepy Hollow offers a new Mickey Waffle menu item with chocolate hazelnut spread, bananas, berries, and whipped cream.
Many Disney fans still miss the classic waffle sandwich. While this is not quite the menu change we wanted, it is still a step in the right direction. We like the more generous portion of chocolate hazelnut spread than what was available earlier.

Disney does make changes to menu options fairly often, it will be interesting to see if the thin, tasty waffle sandwich may eventually find its way back on the Sleepy Hollow menu.

This is a good start... I arrive Sept 10 and I saw the berries side order the other day and decided I would try the waffle with bananas and add the berries and see how it was. This was one situation where I can not figure out what Disney was thinking. Yeah that's it's sort of back!
