The Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon weekend has just started and has kicked off the 2024/2025 race season! However, one race during the weekend has received a big change.
Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend
Disneyland has added another race weekend to its calendar and it has kicked off the 2024/2025 race season! The Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend is taking place now, from September 5-8, 2024.
The Weekend includes yoga, Kids Races, 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Challenge races and events.
This weekend’s themes look to be a blast even with the expected hot temperatures.
Event Change
When runDisney returned to Disneyland, so did the Kids Races! I (Heather) would love to see these return to Disney World too (fingers crossed we will eventually). Disneyland has seen some hot temperatures (over 100 degrees!) the last few days, and runDisney has made changes to the Kids Races.
runDisney has changed the time of the Kids Races to begin at 8:15 AM.
runDisney has shared in the Digital Event Guide and other social media platforms: “Due to the anticipated warm weather conditions, the runDisney® Kids Races will start early at 8:15 AM.”
Details of the Change
Tomorrow, because of the heat, the Kids Races will start earlier (previously set to start at 9 AM). Also, if parents choose to not have their children run, the children can still receive their medals!
The Kids Races will start earlier becasue of the expected warm weather. Also, if a child does not participate in the Kids Races they are still able to claim their medal!
To claim the child’s medal, if they choose not to participate, they will be able to pick it up at the Expo. You will need to present your bib and parent claim tag at the Kids Races counter. This medal pickup is from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
Be sure to hydrate and stay safe out there crew!
