We love Walt Disney World Value Resorts as much as the next frugal Disney guest, but there are certain dates that you may want to book your stay elsewhere at the Walt Disney World property. Check out the dates for this lengthy refurbishment.
Refurbishments
Refurbishment sparks dread around the Disney Parks. From time to time our favorite attractions are closed for a minor or sometimes major refurbishment.
While Guests prepare for upcoming Disney vacations, much time is devoted to selecting the perfect Resort and dining locations for their trip. What Guests may not always consider are current refurbishments scheduled for their Disney Resort.
Although unwelcome, these refurbishments are needed. Typically, Disney provides advanced warnings for work so guests may choose a different resort. Also, be sure to check out our suggested dates to avoid Disney Value Resorts.
Multi-Month Refurbishment
If you are looking ahead to planning your next Walt Disney World Vacation, you will want to take note that a long refurbishment is coming to Disney’s All-Star Sports in 2026.
The Walt Disney World website now issues a warning for guests of a multi-month refurbishment starting January 2026 through late 2026 for the Surfboard Bay Pool and the kiddie pool at All Star Sports.
The lengthy refurbishment is for routine maintenance. Unfortunately, this will affect many guests’ travel plans for a sunny Spring Break in 2026.
What you need to know
Although this is the main pool for All-Star Sports, guests are invited to visit the Grand Slam Leisure pool. Guests are also welcome to use the other pools at the other All-Star Resorts although this will require quite a bit of walking.
The Surfboard Bay Pool at All-Star Sports is closing for a lengthy refurbishment in 2026.
This includes the Calypso Pool, Piano Pool, and kiddie pool at All-Star Music Resort. Guests can also enjoy the Fantasia Pool, Duck Pond Pool, and kiddie pool at All-Star Movies Resort.
What do you think of this lengthy refurbishment? Will this affect your travel plans? Share your thoughts with us and share this news with your Disney pals.
