Walt Disney World’s most popular attraction, Rise of the Resistance, is getting a much-needed new update for the Single Rider Line. This is a game-changer for us!
Single Rider Line
Rise of the Resistance continues to be very popular. Up until now, there were only two ways to enjoy this attraction. The first is to wait in the standby line. The second option is to pay to ride.
Over the past couple of months, Walt Disney World guests received a temporary 3rd option. Testing began in July 2024 for a single-rider line for Rise of the Resistance.
This testing ended and we were left wondering if this would return. Thankfully the Single Rider Line returned to Rise of the Resistance in late September.
New Change
Often the Single Rider Line bypasses some of the fun and magic of the standby queue. Guests must determine if the lower wait time of the single-rider line is worth the different pre-attraction experience.
Previously guests using the single-rider line for Rise of the Resistance boarded directly onto the Star Destroyer Hanger. This affected the experience quite a bit.
Guests bypassed the Rey and BB-8 interaction and the ride aboard the Intersystem Transport Ship. Now guests in the single-rider line join guests from the standby queue to view the briefing between Rey and BB-8.
What you need to know
Remember, the Single Rider entrance is located at the attraction exit. Keep an eye out for Cast Members holding a sign that says “Rise of the Resistance Single Rider End of Line.”
Single Riders now can enjoy the pre-shows for Rise of the Resistance.
The single-rider line is still in the testing stage. We could see more changes for this line and they can stop testing at any time and this line will be unavailable. Fingers crossed that Single Rider will become permanent for this popular attraction.
Do you think this new change will cause higher wait times for the single-rider line? Will you try this new line out during your next trip? Share your thoughts with us and share this news with your Disney pals.
