Fantasmic!
The nighttime show Fantasmic! is a story where Mickey is transported into a dream. He dances along with music, lighting effects, and pyrotechnics. Various characters and scenes from popular Disney movies are part of the sequence as well.
Fantasmic! has either one or two showtimes each night. Tonight, October 8th, guests could enjoy the show at either the 8:00 pm or the 9:30 pm.
Guests often line up an hour to an hour and a half for these showtimes. Many guests enjoy the fun atmosphere as Cast Members have the crowd of guests dance and do the wave.
Cancellation
As guests stood in line for the first show at 8:00 pm at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, they learned that Fantasmic! is canceled tonight.
“Tonight’s first showing of Fantasmic! has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
At this time, it is unknown if the second showing at 9:30 pm will still take place. The My Disney Experience app shows both showtimes for today.
Expect the Unexpected
Walt Disney World and the surrounding areas are taking precautions as Hurricane Milton is expected to bring strong winds and rain tomorrow. Theme Park hours are affected starting tomorrow afternoon.
The 8:00 pm Fantasmic! show was canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
It is unknown if the “unforeseen circumstances” could be storm preparation for tomorrow or if it may be a minor circumstance that could still allow for guests to enjoy the 9:30 pm show. Our thoughts and prayers are with the guests and Cast Members at Walt Disney World.
