Walt Disney World reopened four theme parks this morning, welcoming Guests back after Hurricane Milton forced them to close. Guests still at Disney World sheltered in place at their resorts during the hurricane.

“We’re grateful Walt Disney World Resort weathered the storm, and we are currently assessing the impacts to our property to prepare for reopening the theme parks, Disney Springs and possibly other areas on Friday, October 11. Our hearts are with our fellow Floridians who were impacted by this storm.” – Walt Disney World

Disney also stated that theme park hours currently on the website are based on normal operating hours. They may not reflect changes due to Hurricane Milton.

Disney World closed select resort areas due to Hurricane Milton. The entire Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa closed before the hurricane.

Originally, when Disney announced the closure of these resorts, they informed Guests of an expected reopening date of Sunday, October 13th, but to check back for updates. After the storm, Disney removed any indication of a reopening date for these resorts and encouraged Guests to continue to check back for updates on a reopening timeline.
