There are more changes on the way for Disney’s Lightning Lane. What does this mean for you and what will change?
Lightning Lane
Walt Disney World recently made a change from the previous Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane system that allows guests to skip the line for a fee. The new Lightning Lane Multi Pass is very similar to the previous Disney Genie+ with a few exceptions.
Onsite Guests can purchase and make selections 7 days ahead of their arrival date. Offsite Guests can do so 3 days ahead. Guests can still purchase the Lightning Lane Multi Pass for the day of their visit but will not see the same availability if purchased earlier.
This system has only been in place for a couple of months now. See Donna’s review of what she thought HERE.
Premiere Pass
Today, Disney has announced a new service coming to the theme parks. Here are the details from Disney:
Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be offered in very limited quantities and will give guests one-time entry to each available Lightning Lane entrance in the theme park they are visiting that day. This includes attractions included in both Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass, but with Lightning Lane Premier Pass, guests do not need to select an experience time. Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be a premium offering, and prices will vary based on the date and theme park guests are visiting.
When To Look For It
The new service is coming to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. At Disneyland Resort, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be available first come, first served beginning two days in advance of a theme park reservation and will be valid for use in both theme parks. The first date it will be available is October 23, 2024.
Walt Disney World (one park) price ranges are $129-$449+tax per person. Disneyland (both parks) price ranges are $300-$400 per person.
At Walt Disney World, when Lightning Lane Premier Pass launches, it will be available to guests staying at Disney Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resorts and may be purchased up to seven days in advance of their stay. It will only be valid for use in one park of the guest’s choice per day. The first date it will be available is October 30, 2024.
