Warning Issued for Disney World Resort Guests

Disney now issues a warning that will affect select Walt Disney World Resort Guests. Be sure to check this out if you have a trip planned soon. Will this affect your upcoming stay at all?

Many Disney guests love to stay inside the “Disney Bubble” on Disney property. There are many great perks for Disney Resort guests from Early Theme Park Entry to free Disney transportation. There are some great reasons to stay on property.

Unfortunately, work must still be done even inside the “Disney Bubble”. Many guests must make reservations around resort refurbishment schedules that seem to be never ending.

At times, routine maintenance and testing must be completed while guests stay at one of the many Walt Disney World Resorts. These can include scheduled power outages and at times fire alarm testing.

New Warning

Guests staying at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort: French Quarter are seeing many changes. A rather massive and much-needed room refurbishment is underway and will be completed soon. Also, the delightful Scat Cat’s Club Cafe is closed as well.

French Quarter guests are warned of daily fire alarm testing along with these refurbishments. Guests may experience testing Thursday, October 17th; Friday, October 18th; Monday, October 21st; Tuesday, October 22nd; and Wednesday, October 23rd.

Guests may hear music or loud ringing tones for this mandatory testing between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.

How to plan

For many guests visiting the parks, this testing may go unnoticed. For those guests hoping to enjoy a resort day or take a midday park break, please remember that this testing is scheduled and no action is required by you.

Disney encourages guests to contact Resort Cast Members if they have any questions or need more help during this testing.

Guests are notified of this warning with multiple signs posted throughout the resort and upon check-in.
