If you are looking forward to all the movies Disney and its family of brands plan to release in 2025, you will want to read this. One movie has been yanked from the schedule and replaced.
2025 Movies
Disney has quite a lineup of movies coming up over the next year. 2024 will end with two potential Smash hits: Moana II and Mufasa: The Lion King.
2025 will open with Captain America: Brave New World. Fans can also Look forward to the Live Action Lilo and Stitch, Zootopia 2, and Avatar: Fire and Ash throughout the year.
But one movie is being pulled from the line-up. And, it has already been replaced.
Bye-Bye-Blade
While many fans would be unsurprised to see the new live-action Snow White vanish after so much controversy, so far, it is still set to release. However, this is not the case for Marvel Studios’ Blade.
Blade, the reboot of the famed Wesley Snipes film was supposed to be released on November 7, 2025. However, Disney has pulled that release date from the schedule, and Blade will be shelved for now.
Instead, audiences can plan to go to see Predator: Badlands. This movie will be directed by Dan Tratechenberg who also directed the popular Prey.
Why Isn’t Blade Happening
Blade could potentially be a big hit. After all, fans were delighted when Wesley Snipes made a Cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine, which became the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time.
But the project has had a rocky road. It was announced in 2019, and, like many other projects, was interrupted by covid. And, it was also affected by industry strikes.
Perhaps this isn’t the last we have seen from Blade.
The studio reportedly does not want to release the movie until they write the perfect script. It is refreshing to think the studio wants to do the story justice.
