Disney World Park Annual Passes will Now Cost You More

The annual October price increases have begun, and annual passes are not excluded. Here is what you can expect to pay to enter the Disney World theme parks.

While price increases can happen at any time of the year, Disney usually saves the bulk of the increases for October. Every October, we see increases on character meals, dining experiences, tickets, and more.

Every October we expect this, but it still doesn’t make it any easier to accept. We see many character buffets and dining experiences increase by $4/person.

We have to assume Disney is saying “treat yo’self” over and over as they increase all these things. Plus, a little humor makes it an easier pill for us to swallow…

WDW annual passes have increases $30-$100 depending on which type you are looking at. That is roughly a 3-7% jump!

Not surprising, but the only pass out-of-state Passholders can purchase saw the biggest price increase of $100.

  • Incredi-Pass: now $1549 (was $1449)
  • Sorcerer Pass: now $1079 (was $999)
  • Pirate Pass: now $829 (was $799)
  • Pixie Dust Pass: $469 (was $439)

As a reminder, PhotoPass photos are extra as is the water park option. So you will need to account for those add-ons as well when considering whether or not you should purchase/renew.

If you are an out-of-state Passholder, keep in mind that with the price increase of $100 you should plan to visit one more day to make that price increase worth it. For many that won’t be a problem, but if you are one of the Passholders that only visit once or twice a year, we recommend doing some math to ensure the price is still worth it.

For the life of me, I don’t understand why the non Floridians get screwed the most. We are the ones adding more to the bottom line with hotel stays and captive food needs. What would happen if all the out-of-towners decide it’s too expensive?

I'm starting to seriously reconsider renewing. The family just isn't enjoying it like we used to and the cost is becoming too high.

@Jack, I am with you! My AP is due and I am not renewing. My family and I are not enjoying our trips like we used to with all the changes and money grabs. Prices have just become too high as you no longer just buy a ticket for the Parks, but you need LL etc. to not stand in line all day. Also, the quality is not what it used to be. You always paid top dollar but quality was also great so you got what you paid for. Not true any more.
