Here’s a Big Warning if You are Trying to do Anything on the Disney Apps

You may be trying to complete various tasks today on the My Disney Experience or Disneyland app. Well, that may be a bit hard to do. Consider this your heads up.

The My Disney Experience (MDE) app and Disneyland apps are an essential component of your Disney vacations. You will use it in the planning stages, all throughout your trip, and even after your vacation is over.

This is where you link hotel reservations, make dining reservations, book Lightning Lanes, check wait times, schedules, view photos, and so.much.more.

Being that it is such an essential part of Disney, it can be really frustrating when it’s not working properly.

Today, October 23, we are met not only with price increases but also with technical issues. October is usually a difficult time with our Disney wallets as we see price increases with tickets, food, and character meals every year.

This morning, I (Monica) was met with a message on MDE and Disneyland apps: Some of our digital experiences may be unavailable at this time. We’re actively working to resolve this issue. We apologize for any inconvenience.

On my end, I noticed my Future Plans disappeared as did my Hotel Reservation. It’s too early in the morning to check on wait times and character schedules, but it appeared the Lightning Lane system was still functioning. I was also able to check dining availability.

I also received the same message when I opened my Disneyland app. Again, my Future Plans and Hotel Reservation are missing.

Keep in mind that other experiences may not function properly at this time. What’s available and what’s not available may vary by account and time of day. Hopefully Disney will get this worked out today, but we imagine it may have to do with price increases and system updates.
