When CommuniCore Hall opened at EPCOT, we were all slightly disappointed. This bland space offered air conditioning and seating but lacked a fun experience. After several months, you will now want to visit this space.
Holidays at Disney World
Walt Disney World is always a magical place, but it seems even more magical at the holidays. From seeing Santa to favorite characters dressed for the holidays, and exciting entertainment, there are so many reasons to love Walt Disney World at Christmas.
This year, Walt Disney World is changing things up a bit and offering more holiday experiences for guests. Be sure to check out the new experiences available at both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom HERE.
When CommuniCore Hall first opened, we were disappointed but Disney reassured us that this space would be transformed for EPCOT’s many festivals. The first festival, the International Food and Wine Festival, only offered a shopping location. Finally, Disney makes great use of this new CommuniCore Hall.
CommuniCore Hall Transformation
EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays begins November 29th through December 30th. This year, take in the beauty of Spaceship Earth made completely out of gingerbread. This beautiful work of art will offer a light show to holiday tunes as the centerpiece for CommuniCore Hall.
Two-holiday kitchens will delight guests at CommuniCore Hall. First, the Experimental Prototype Cookies of Tomorrow allows guests to sample innovative cookies and even decorate their own gingerbread triangles. The Favorites of Festivals Past offers favorite dishes from the past.
Guests can get crafty while making a FREE snowflake at CommuniCore Plaza. The stage here will host performances by JOYFUL! A Celebration of the season. CommuniCore Hall will be adorned with a Glittering Grove as a winter wonderland.
Other Experiences
While CommuniCore Hall will still offer holiday merchandise, we are thankful there will now more for guests to enjoy for the International Festival of the Holidays.
CommuniCore Hall will be transformed this holiday season for EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays.
Brand new this year is a fun sensory experience, Festive Fragrances, presented by Scentsy. A similar experience was offered at the International Flower and Garden Festival. This will be a fun, immersive experience for guests.

Hmmmm. I guess its ok to try and turn a boring space into something better - in EPCOT! But lets just destroy 2 beautiful areas in Magic Kingdom, because they don't draw enough crowds. Could it be because Tom Sawyer's Island and the riverboat are Walt's original plans???
