Holiday Show Debuts Earlier Than Expected at Disney World

The holidays kick off in just a few days at Disney World, but one show is debuting earlier than expected. Will you get to see this show during your trip?

The holidays are a super special time at Disney World. In fact, it’s one of my (Monica) favorite times to visit every year! There is so much to see and do, and the extra holiday cheer just brings an electric buzz to the atmosphere.

Each park will host special entertainment from Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Festival of the Holidays to Jollywood Nights and Merry Menagerie.

The resorts and Disney Springs also have special decor and activities. It’s a special time you don’t want to miss!

We were all disappointed when Disney did away with the icicle lights on Cinderella Castle. While it’s been several years since we’ve seen them it doesn’t stop us from wanting them back. Along with the icicle lights, Disney also did away with the stage show and replaced it with another.

With the popularity of Frozen, there is a new-ish stage/castle lightning show called Frozen Holiday Surprise.

Join the Frozen friends from Arendelle as they ring in the season. The celebration begins when Olaf and over 100 of his snowgie siblings add garlands, ornaments, wreaths and more to Cinderella Castle.

Next, Anna, Elsa and Kristoff will appear on stage with Olaf—all decked out in their holiday best. The festivities culminate as Elsa adds the finishing touches with her ice magic, transforming Cinderella Castle into a shimmering crystallized palace.

The show debuts tonight, November 5! We were not expecting to see it until the first party on November 8. This is an extra special treat for Guests visiting before the holidays officially kick off.

As a reminder, this show takes place every night (not just party nights), and if you are visiting on a party night even though the park officially closes at 6:00 pm, you can still see the show.
