Sneak Peek Inside the New Pirates of the Caribbean Lounge

After several announcements, Disney gave guests a sneak peek inside the newest lounge coming to Magic Kingdom. The best part is that this space will be available for all guests.

D23 Announcements

If you are a Disney fan, you may notice that Disney makes many announcements during their D23 fan events. In August, Disney shared that not one, but two lounges will be coming to Walt Disney World.

A brand new Spaceship Earth-inspired lounge was announced coming in 2025. This lounge will be inspired by the geometric sphere and will offer a zen space for Guests to gather. 

The second is a tavern inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean. This lounge was first announced at the September 2023 D23 event. Now during the D23 Brazil event, we finally have new information for this Magic Kingdom lounge.

Pirates of the Carribean Tavern

The new lounge will offer a welcoming space for all pirates (big and small). All are welcome to raise a toast to the pirate life. Guests visiting this lounge will find a “sea-worthy selection of grogs and grub.”

With an expected opening in 2025, this new lounge will be located in Adventureland, but Disney has not yet revealed the exact location.

During the D23 Brazil Event, Disney revealed the concept art (pictured above) of this new lounge. This tavern-like setting complete with pirate ships in bottles above a roaring fire looks so cozy.

The pieces of concept art seem as if it is a different experience. It will be interesting to see if different rooms may be available offering different theming such as at Be Our Guest Restaurant. The great news is that all ages of guests can enjoy this new lounge when it finally opens in 2025.
