Last month, we were so excited to share the news of a brand new bundle of stripes in Walt Disney World. The gorgeous pair of Sumatran tigers Conrad and Sohni welcomed a rare baby tiger into the world.

These magnificent and rare animals represent the smallest subspecies of tigers in the world. In the wild, they are found only on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. And now their numbers have increased.

Baby Bakso made a healthy entrance into the world! You can read all about his first few weeks on our planet right HERE.

Sumatran Tiger parents Conrad and Sohni inhabit the Maharajah Jungle Trek in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. They can often be hard to spot, but those with a little patience and keen eyes often find themselves rewarded with a tiger sighting!

Mom Sohni and baby Bakso are currently spending time backstage bonding. She spends most of her time showing her new cub as much affection as possible.

Guests will not be able to meet him in person until he is a few months older and ready to move to his home in Maharajah Jungle Trek. However, Disney has come up with a unique way for everyone to enjoy the special baby from home!

For the first time ever, Disney is giving you a weekly behind-the-scenes glimpse at baby Bakso and his mom Sohni as they get ready for his big day on the Maharajah Jungle Trek. Starting Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 2 p.m., and every week, you’ll be able to tune in to the Disney Parks YouTube and Disney Parks Blog to see what mom and baby are up to and get filled in on what’s been happening in between Tiger Tuesdays.

If you miss the live event, no worries! You can see the recording on demand! Need a link? You can view the first episode HERE. Want more big cat news? See who is leaving Disney World forever right HERE.
