Avatar: Fire and Ash is the sequel to James Cameron’s smash hit films Avatar and Avatar: The Way of Water. The movies have mesmerized audiences around the world!
Last year, director James Cameron revealed some details for the third film. He promised that the third Avatar movie would explore the dark side of the Na’vi with a tribe called the Ash People.
At this year’s D23 Brazil, James Cameron joined fans live from New Zealand to discuss the movie, which will feature a whole new adventure with Marine turned Na’vi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Na’vi warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), and the Sully family. Cameron has shared that the movie will also carry high emotional stakes, so brace yourself.
Beautiful New Concept Art
Cameron brought gorgeous new concept art to the presentation, and now you can see it for yourself, too. The art features glimpses of some of the new biomes and cultures audiences will encounter during the film.
One piece of art gives fans a look at what could be the home of the newly introduced tribe, the Ash People. Another depicts a fleet of airships.
We can’t wait to see it all in action. It is sure to be a visual masterpiece.
When and Where to Watch
Avatar: Fire and Ash is scheduled to have an exclusively theatrical debut. It is set to hit theatres in a little over a year on December 19, 2025, just in time for the holiday season.

In the meantime, you can revisit the first two films on Disney+. And you can step into Pandora: World of Avatar when you visit Walt Disney World, and soon Avatar will come to Disneyland as well.
