Do you need to know how tall your child has to be to ride all the attractions at Epic Universe, the new theme park opening at Universal Orlando? We have got you covered. Here is what we know so far.
Epic Universe
The grand opening for Epic Universe is drawing near, and everyone is so excited. The new park will be the fourth gate at Universal Orlando, joining Universal Studios Orlando, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, and Universal’s Volcano Bay.
Universal hopes Epic Universe will turn Universal into a week-long destination for families. And, with 11 confirmed rides and a variety of play areas, shows, dining, and shops, Epic Univers will have a little something for everyone.
But, which rides will your children be tall enough to ride? Here is a rundown of all the height requirements.
Rides with No Height Requirement
Epic Universe does have a few rides and experiences with no height requirement. Anyone can safely experience the ride, even a baby accompanied by a caregiver.
However, some of these rides do require a companion accompany any child under 48″ tall. We will note those for you.
- Constellation Carousel: a carousel in Celestial Park-No height requirement, but riders under 48″ tall must have a companion over 48″ tall
- Fyre Drill: A boat ride at How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk (you might get wet!)
There is also no minimum height for play areas such as Viking Training Camp at How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk or a water play area in Celestial Park. And anyone can sit for the shows like The Untrainable Dragon at How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk or Le Cirque Arcanus at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: The Ministry of Magic.
Rides with a Height Requirement
However, some rides in Epic Univers DO have a height requirement. Team members will check all little riders to keep them safe.
- Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge- a go-cart race in Super Nintendo World- 40″
- Mine Kart Madness: a Donkey Kong-Themed Roller Coaster in Super Nintendo World-36″
- Yoshi’s Adventure: A slow-moving Yoshi ride in Super Nintendo World- 36″
- Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment: A Monster of a Ride in Dark Universe-48″
- Curse of the Werewolf: A Werewolf roller coaster in Dark Universe- 40″
- Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry: A Dark Ride at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: The Ministry of Magic- 40″
- Dragon Racer’s Rally: A wild-claw-style dragon flight simulator at How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk- 48″
- Hiccup’s Wing Gliders: A dragon-themed family roller coaster at How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk-40″

If you are 48″ tall, you can do every announced ride in Epic Universe!
Of course, even a person who is 48″ tall may find the rides too intimidating to try out, and that’s okay too. It looks like there will be plenty of fun to be had in Epic Universe.
