Disney has quite a few hot titles planned for 2026. Some of them are already hotly anticipated.

For example, Buzz and Woody are making a comeback. Toy Story 5 is in the works, and you can read more about it HERE.

There are also several Marvel movies planned such as Avengers: Doomsday. The live-action Moana is also currently slated for 2026.

Of course, all this is subject to change. And, Disney just shook things up a bit.

While Disney originally had an untitled Star Wars Movie slated for release in 2026, it has vanished from the lineup. There is no official work on why it was removed.

However, we do know that Simon Kinberg has signed on to write and produce a new trilogy of Star Wars films. Perhaps that move has changed Disney’s approach to some of the planned films. Or perhaps the two events are not connected.

If you are worried about The Mandalorian and Grogu movie, fear not. Their theatrical adventure is still expected to debut on May 22, 2026.

The Replacement

Disney has already replaced the Star Wars Movie. Instead, Ice Age 6 will hit theatres in its spot.

It will have been a decade since an Ice Age movie was in theatres by the time it comes out. Pehaps a whole new generation of fans awaits.
