Wicked Characters Surprise Guests at Universal

Glinda and Elphaba paid a surprise visit to Guests at Universal Orlando! You might just be able to meet them, too!

The Wicked Experience

Wicked: The Experience is officially open to visitors at Universal Orlando. You can find this fun offering at Universal Studios Orlando! It is located near the front gate.

This exclusive experience is opening in celebration of the upcoming theatrical release of Wicked. The experience will whisk guests to Oz where they will follow the yellow brick road into a variety of iconic Wicked locations. See costumes from the films and props as you enjoy the immersive theming!

There is also plenty of Wicked merchandise available for purchase, if you want a memento of your visit to Oz. You can read more about the experience and see merchandise photos right HERE.

Glinda and Elphaba Visit!

Glinda and Elphaba made a surprise visit to Wicked: The Experience on opening day. Guests noticed the cords going up to mark a queue and suspected something special was happening

And, indeed, many Guests were treated to a photo op and meet-n-greet with Elphaba and Glinda themselves! What a delightful treat!

Universal shared with us that “Glinda and Elphaba will be making unscheduled appearances for Guests at Wicked: The Experience. However, a permanent meet-n-greet experience is not planned at this time.” If you happen to be visiting Universal Studios and want to try to see them, check in with the Team Members at Wicked: The Experience. They might know whether to expect a visit that day.

What about Hello Kitty

Some fans are sad to see the Hello Kitty shop and Hello Kitty statue have been removed to make way for Wicket. However, Hello Kitty Merch is available at Islands of Adventure at Photo Funnies at Toon Lagoon right in time for her 50th anniversary.

Hello Kitty still meets periodically at the Hollywood Character Zone.

And, visitors have found Hello Kitty meeting at the Hollywood Character Zone in Universal Studios. She is one of many characters who might pop up there. Of course, you might also find other characters there instead like Woody Woodpecker, Shaggy, Scooby Doo, Doc Brown, The Simpsons, or Betty Boop.

Pirate Tip: Ask a Team Member at the various character locations for more information about who might be around on the day of your visit. Sometimes they know who is on the schedule for the day.
