Magic Kingdom has a serious case of the Mondays and guests are suffering because of it. Find out which attractions and entertainment are affected because of this emergency.
Attraction Closures
The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World is indeed “the most magical place on earth”, but even this magical land is not immune to emergencies. We have seen guests behaving badly and even a wild bear damper the magic for guests.
Closures occur all the time at Disney Parks. Sometimes it’s because of weather or planned refurbishments. Other times, it could be more serious.
Today, just after the busy Thanksgiving holiday weekend, multiple attractions are closed at Magic Kingdom, and the crazy part is that this has happened before not that long ago.
Emergency Closures
This afternoon, several attractions in Frontierland are closed. This includes attractions, restaurants, shops, and even the parade route for the Festival of Fantasy.
Currently, the following attractions are closed: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Country Bear Musical Jamboree, Liberty Square Riverboat, and Tom Sawyer Island.
The only attraction that is currently still operational in Frontierland is Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Cast Members are posted to re-route guests trying to enter Frontierland.
Cause for the closures
It appears that the reasons for the closure of Frontierland is a sewage leak. Guests have noticed Cast Members dressed in water proof waders and rubber boots are tackling the leak.
Multiple attractions and entertainment are affected due to a sewer leak in Frontierland.
What is shocking about this emergency is that this is not the first time that Frontierland has been closed for a sewer leak. Just this past August, Frontierland closed for the same reason. With plans for big expansion projects in Frontierland, we are hopeful that Disney will address this problem.
