Walt Disney World is making big changes to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. With much work beginning in 2025 at DinoLand, there is a new closing timeline for the Dinosaur attraction.
Animal Kingdom Transformation
DinoLand is about to be extinct at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. An entire new land is on the way. It is set to be themed around Tropical Americas! We can’t wait to see Welcome to Pueblo Esperanza!
According to Disney, a new Indy experience is set to arrive in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It promises to be different from any other Indiana Jones experience around the world. You can also expect a new carousel and an Encanto attraction! Read all everything we have confirmed HERE.
In January 2025, TriceraTop Spin will be the first ride to close. Fossil Fun and Games and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures will close. Get full dates and details HERE.
DINOSAUR Closing
When Disney first released the above closing dates this did not include the following DinoLand attractions: DINOSAUR, the Boneyard, Restaurantosaurus, Dino-Bite Snacks, and Trilo-Bites.
DinoLand consumes a large chunk of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We were hopeful that parts of this land would remain open even with this new reimagining.
This morning, Disney released plans for Walt Disney World in 2025. Disney shares, “While you’re visiting, make sure that you ‘go get that dino’ at DINOSAUR. We’ve previously shared this attraction will be closing to make way for teh new Tropical Americas Land- 2025 is your year to visit before it goes extinct!”
What you need to know
Although Disney can make changes at any time, it appears that DINOSAUR will remain open for all of 2025. This is great news for guests with upcoming Animal Kingdom plans.
DINOSAUR can be enjoyed for 2025 before going extinct.
We will continue to offer updates with closures to DinoLand along with attraction updates for this newly imagined space.
Do you think DINOSAUR will close earlier than expected? Will you avoid Disney’s Animal Kingdom with this new update coming to DinoLand? Share your thoughts with us and share this news with your Disney pals.
