This Disney animal has been loved by Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom since her arrival one year ago. See how Disney helped her celebrate her first birthday!
Baby Corra
Last year, Walt Disney World celebrated the arrival of a very special baby elephant! Baby Corra’s birth made Disney Parks history. She is Disney’s very first second-generation elephant to be born in the parks. Her mother Nadirah was also born in Disney World. You can read more about her birth HERE.
Baby Corra, the elephant, has turned one!
Births, like Corra’s, are part of an initiative called the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Species Survival Plan. And Disney has successfully contributed to the species through two generations of elephants.
How you can see baby Corra
Guests of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park can catch a glimpse of Corra when they ride Kilimanjaro Safaris. I (Heather) love being able to sneak a peek of this little elephant running around with her mom, aunt, and grandmother during my safari excursion.
Corra calls the savanna her home, which is part of Kilimanjaro Safaris.
If you are hoping for a longer look, the Caring for Giants tour could be a great option. She is one of my five reasons to book that tour, check out the other four reasons HERE.
Birthday Celebrations
Friday, December 13th, Corra turned one! Her keepers made sure to celebrate this special occasion with her. She did not get a smash cake, but she did get her favorite treats. Those treats included things like peanut butter and bamboo.

Disney shared that she hit some major milestones this past year as well, including lifting her feet for check-ups to even sampling solid foods! Be sure to look for Corra the next time you are on the Kilimanjaro Safaris.
