Planning a Walt Disney World vacation can sometimes be magical and stressful. Guests need to be aware of a new warning issued for Walt Disney World that may affect their park plans.
Travel Plans
There are many things to consider when planning your trip to Walt Disney World. From rainstorms to hurricane planning, Florida can put a few wrinkles even in the best-laid travel plans.
With a park located in Central Florida, Walt Disney World tries to update guests on weather advisories as quickly as possible.
One of the most important things to remember when planning your Walt Disney World trip is ensuring every member of your traveling party is happy and healthy.
Travel Advisory
This morning, December 19th, as guests may have hoped to rope drop their favorite Walt Disney World Park, they were greeted with dense fog. This unwelcome sight may not have been the start of the perfect day for guests.
The Weather Broadcast Office warned of widespread dense fog. A travel advisory is now issued until 10:00 am (ET).
All of those traveling this morning are encouraged to slow down and increase distance from the vehicles in front of them. Visibility in some places is 1/4 mile or less and at times zero. If guests choose to drive to the parks, please use extreme caution. Guests may experience travel delays due to the dense fog.
Affected Areas
The Fog Advisory is in place for Brevard, Indian River, Lake, Martin, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, St. Lucie, and Volusia counties. This does affect all of the Walt Disney World Resort this morning.
Walt Disney World is under a dense fog advisory warning until 10:00 am (ET) on December 19, 2024.
Due to this travel advisory, the resorts suggest guests use Disney transportation. Unfortunately, the Ferryboats are not operating this morning. This will create a delay for guests heading to the Magic Kingdom.
