Universal Orlando has a removed an element from its nighttime show. Find out what we know.
Cinesational – a Symphonic Spectacular
Cinesational – a Symphonic Spectacular is a nighttime show at Universal Studios Orlando. The show is 22 minutes long.
Viewers experience a cinematic journey with music from Harry Potter, Jurassic World, and Jaws. The show includes music, lighting, fireworks, water, and drones.
The show can be viewed around the lagoon. However, the “official” dedicated viewing area is in Central Park. This area is the most crowded, but it provides the best viewing.
Drones Removed
Universal Studios Orlando has stopped the use of drones in their nighttime show, Cinesational: A Symphonic Spectacular. Universal released the following statement regarding the pause of the drones:
“We have currently paused the drone component of Cinesational: A Symphonic Spectacular. Guests can still enjoy the show nightly at Universal Studios Florida.”
-Universal Spokesperson
At this time, Universal did not release any information as to why they have paused the drones, but it does come after a drone incident at Lake Eola last weekend. At that show a 7 year-old was badly hurt when he was hit by a falling drone. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are currently investigating the incident.
What Does This Mean for You?
If you are visiting Universal Studios Orlando, you are still able to enjoy Cinesational: A Symphonic Spectacular. The show will still contain all the other elements for you to relive your favorite movies.
Cinesational: A Symphonic Spectacular is still running, however without the drone component.
It is important to note that Universal’s website states:
“Dates, times, experience details, and benefits subject to availability, change and/or cancellation without notice. Please see the Universal Orlando Resort Mobile App for the most up-to-date information..”
