Bay Lake Tower is restricting access to The Top of The World Lounge – A Villians Lair and Terrace. Those looking to access the lounge must be a Member staying at Bay Lake Tower. This event is from 6 pm – 12 am for both December 30th and 31st. It is first come first served, and capacity is limited to 300 people.
Disney’s Polynesian is even more restrictive this year. It is restricting access so only Guests staying at the Polynesian or with dining reservations are able to access the resort. Cast Members will be stationed at various entry points to turn away restricted Guests. A wrist band will be required, which can be picked up in the lobby of the Great Ceremonial Hall.
Disney’s Grand Floridian will only restrict access to the pool. Resort Guests will need a wristband to exclusively access the pool area. There will be no restrictions to the rest of the resort.
What Does This Mean for You?
It is important that you plan ahead for your New Year’s Eve firework celebration viewing. Be sure to know where you can view fireworks, so that you will not be scrambling to find a viewing spot.
Pirate Tip: know where you can view New Year’s Eve fireworks prior to venturing out!
To guarantee access to any of these resorts beyond being a registered guest is to secure a dining reservation at them. Another option for viewing would be to watch from the ferry dock at the Transportation & Ticket Center.
