There is only one Mickey Mouse, but somehow, he manages to pop up throughout all of the Disney Parks. Last night, Mickey Mouse surprised even the most seasoned Walt Disney World guests. Check out this fun surprise.
Rare Character Experiences
Mickey Mouse and his pals have their classic outfits, but they can greet guests in special costume ensembles throughout the year. Often, costume overlays will change for the Christmas season and big celebrations.
During Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, Mickey and his pals wore vibrant Ear-idescent costumes. For Disney 100, their costumes changed to a chic platinum. Coming in 2025, Mickey and his pals will wear new costumes to celebrate the 70th Anniversary at Disneyland.
There are the standard meet and greet locations for Mickey and his pals throughout the parks, but at times, they can surprise guests with fun interactions and even rare costumes.
Surprise Experience
To put it mildly, Walt Disney World is busy to ring in the New Year. However, Mickey Mouse continues to be the best host as guests visit the Magic Kingdom.
For New Year’s, Walt Disney World offers fun parades, rare fireworks, and great DJ dance parties at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Last night, as guests gathered at the stage in front of Cinderella Castle, guests enjoyed a fun DJ dance party.
Both Mickey and Minnie delighted guests as they appeared in rare costumes to ring in the New Year. Mickey Mouse wore a gray suit that many had not seen him in several years (apart from runDisney events.) Minnie Mouse dazzled in a beautiful pink dress. Cheers erupted as Mickey Mouse danced to the classic song, “Hey Mickey.”
Make Plans
Along with Mickey and Minnie Mouse, other Disney pals appeared in their New Year’s finest. Goofy and Donald Duck both wore tuxedos with tails; Chip ‘n Dale wore tuxedo shirts with bowties, and Daisy brought her sophisticated style with a sparkly pink dress.
Mickey and his pals delighted guests at both the Cinderella and Tomorrowland DJ dance parties.
Previously, characters did not appear at these dance parties, but this was a welcome surprise. Last night, characters appeared at both the Cinderella stage and the Tomorrowland stage DJ dance parties. We have our fingers crossed that they will appear tonight as well.
