Disney has just announced that the Haunted Mansion Holiday will make its return this year. Find out when you can enjoy this fun festive overlay.
Haunted Mansion Holiday
During the seasons of Halloween and Christmas time, the residents of the Haunted Mansion temporarily relocate as the residents of Halloween Town take residency for the two special holiday seasons.
The Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, features an overlay complete with a real life gingerbread house located in the Grand Hall.
The overlay has remained an exclusive to Disneyland Park even though many have wanted this overlay to come to the attraction in Disney World.
Dates Announced
Disneyland has just announced that the Haunted Mansion Holiday will be open in time for the Halloween season. The opening day is August 22nd. Earlier today, Disney had published an incorrect date of November 14th, leading many to believe that the overlay wouldn’t occur until after Halloween. Disney has since updated the date.
The Haunted Mansion Holiday will be open from August 22nd through January 7th.
The Haunted Mansion Holiday will run through January 7, 2026.
What Does This Mean for You?
If you are heading to Disneyland in the weeks leading up to August 22nd, you may not be able to enjoy the Haunted Mansion. Unfortunately, the attraction will need to close for several weeks for the overlay to occur.
If you are visiting Disneyland close to the opening of Haunted Mansion Holiday, you may visit when the attraction is closed for the placement of the overlay.
At this time, no closure dates for the overlay have been shared. We will be sure to update you with the closure dates once they are announced.
