Disney has just announced two pool closures that will be happening very soon. Find out which pools and if the closures will impact your vacation.
Refurbishments
Refurbishment sparks dread around Disney World. From time to time our favorite attractions, restaurants, hotel sections, and pools are closed for a minor or sometimes major refurbishment.
While Guests prepare for upcoming Disney vacations, much time is devoted to selecting the perfect Resort and dining locations for their trip. What Guests may not always consider are current refurbishments scheduled for their Disney Resort.
Although unwelcome, these refurbishments are needed. Typically, Disney provides advanced warnings for closures so guests may choose a different resort. However, these closures are happening very soon.
Disney’s Caribbean Beach
The main feature pool at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is the Fuentes del Morro Pool and Aquatic Play Area. Starting on January 13th, this will be closed for routine maintenance.
The Fuentes del Morro Pool and Aquatic Play Area will be closed for routine maintenance and is expected to reopen for Guests at the end of January.
The pool and play area is expected to reopen at the end of January. There are five leisure pools located throughout the resort, and those will remain open for Caribbean Beach Resort Guests to enjoy.
Grand Floridian
Another pool closing for routine maintenance is happening at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. According to Disney’s Website the Courtyard Pool, spa, and Courtyard Pool Bar are closed beginning January 27, 2025.
The Courtyard Pool, spa, and Courtyard Pool Bar are scheduled to close for refurbishment beginning January 27th and lasting through late February.
The Courtyard Pool is the leisure pool also known as the “quiet pool.” This pool is expected to reopen to Grand Floridian Guests in late February 2025. The Beach Pool (feature pool) is still open for Guests to enjoy.
