Many Disney Park guests would rather spend less time on their devices and more time soaking in the magic of Disney. Now, the My Disney Experience app has a new update, allowing a little less screen time.
My Disney Experience
We have shared many updates to the My Disney Experience apps for both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. This app is invaluable while visiting Disney Parks, from booking your next Lightning Lane Multi-Pass selection to even locating your car after a long day in the parks.
Guests can also avoid waiting in line to place a food order using the Mobile Order feature on the My Disney Experience app.
The trend towards mobile ordering continues to grow among Disney guests. Thankfully, Disney continues to offer updates to mobile ordering to make it even more user-friendly.
Newest Update
Finally, it feels as though Disney has listened to our cries for less time on our phones while in the Disney Parks. Guests can now track their Mobile Order without keeping the My Disney Experience App open.
This new update is for iOS users and sends updates using the Live Activities display. Once your order is placed and you are near your arrival window, a message will display, “I’m here, prepare my order.”
You can select to prepare your order from this screen. Once your order is prepared, you will be notified showing your Mobile Order pickup information. The best part is that you don’t have to keep the My Disney Experience app open while waiting for your food order.
What you need to know
This new My Disney Experience update is available at select locations throughout Walt Disney World and Disneyland. We are hopeful that this will expand to all Mobile Order locations soon.
A new update allows iOS users to track Mobile Orders from the Live Activities display.
If you have an iOS device make sure that your phone and My Disney Experience app are updated. Hopefully, a similar update will be available for Android users as well.
