Disney Now has Three Billion Dollar Movies on its Hands

Disney’s Moana 2 has hit another huge milestone. Here are all the details.

However, Disney moved in a different direction and reformatted the content of the series to turn it into a feature-length film with a theatrical release. Perhaps this decision was based on the theatrical success of the original film.

As is the case with all major decisions, this one had plenty of critics who did not like the decision. However, it looks as if the decision ultimately panned out for Disney.

Moana Crosses $1 Billion

Moana 2 had its theatrical in November 2024. It was not without competition. Universal Pictures’s Wicked also shared the stage for the holiday season. Both films have gone on to achieve wild success.

In fact, Moana 2 was so hotly anticipated that even its trailer broke records. Then, when it hit theaters, the little film quickly sailed to success at the box office.

And now Moana 2 has climbed to $1 billion in earnings. Disney’s decision to push it to the silver screen paid off!

What Else Has Earned a Billion Dollars

Moana 2 is Disney’s 3rd 2024 film to cross the $1 billion mark. After disappointing performances from Wish and Haunted Mansion, 2024 has certainly been a more fruitful year.
