Central Florida is often affected by heat advisories, but now a Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for both Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort.

The weather alert was issued today and will go into effect from 1:00 am until 9:00 am on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. For this advisory, there will be a combination of cold temperatures and breezy north winds tonight, which will produce the lowest wind chills of the 20s to 30s.

Currently, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is closed due to cold weather and although not confirmed, it appears that the water park will be closed for January 22nd as well.

Guests will want to plan accordingly when visiting the parks tomorrow, January 22nd. The weather service recommends, “Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.”

You and your traveling party can still enjoy a fun day at the Disney Parks with a few additional layers. You may want to plan for more indoor breaks to avoid excessive cold wind exposure.
