Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is the newest attraction at Walt Disney World, and everyone wants to be “Going Down the Bayou.” Unfortunately, that may not be easy with the attraction closing early on many upcoming dates. Get the full details to adjust your travel plans.
Recent Changes
Since Walt Disney World does not close for select seasons, refurbishments and maintenance occur during operating hours. Some attractions close for lengthy refurbishments. You can check out the growing list of refurbishment closures HERE.
At other times, refurbishments may take place while the attraction remains open. Guests may notice some attraction elements blocked and operating hours may be affected.
Disney Parks reserves the right to change operational hours as needed and without notice. We recently shared how an entire EPCOT pavilion closed 2 hours early.
Tiana’s Closing Early
One thing that has remained from the former Splash Mountain attraction to the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is technical difficulties. Back with the former Splash Mountain, the attraction was not included in Extended Evening Hours due to needed maintenance.
Now, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is set to close earlier than Magic Kingdom’s closing hours on select nights based on the current operational calendar.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will close at 6:00 pm on January 24, 27-29. Leading into February, the attraction will close at 6:00 pm on February 3, 5, and 6. This allows the busier weekend crowds to enjoy the attraction until the park closes. Disney has not announced a reason for this early closure.
What you need to plan for
Currently, there are only 2 ways to enjoy this attraction: the virtual queue and the Lightning Lane Multi-Pass. This attraction does not currently offer a standby queue option.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is closing at 6:00 pm on select dates.
Both the virtual queue and the Lightning Lane Multi-Pass have limited quantities and this number will be reduced even more when the attraction closes early. If you happen to visit on the above-mentioned dates try our tips to secure your virtual queue or the Lightning Lane quickly.
