Phased Closure Announced for Muppet Vision 3D and More

This is a hard one for true Muppet fans! The closing date is now set for the phased closure of Disney’s Hollywood Studios Muppet Courtyard. Find out the final closing dates for this nostalgic land.

Muppets Relocating

When Disney first announced a new Monsters Inc. Land coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, many were concerned that the concept art looked like Muppet Courtyard. This area houses dining locations, retail stores, a fun water fountain featuring the ever-so-fabulous Miss Piggy, and of course Muppet Vision 3D.

This was later confirmed that the Muppet Courtyard would eventually close. Disney shared that guests would still have “plenty of time” to enjoy this show, but the days were numbered.

Thankfully, Disney plans to keep the Muppets at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with a retheme of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.

Final Date for Muppets Courtyard

It looks like it’s almost time for the final time to play the music and light the lights for the Muppet Show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Muppets courtyard will completely close on June 7, 2025. This means that the final date to enjoy this nostalgic portion of Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be June 7, 2025.

At this time, Disney has not announced when the Muppet re-theme will begin for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. Although this re-theme seems a bit odd, we are thankful that the Muppets will still be represented at Walt Disney World.

Phased Closure

The Muppet Courtyard will close in phases similar to the current work taking place at DinoLand USA over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The last day to enjoy Muppet Vision 3D will be June 7, 2025.

Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano final day will be May 10, 2025. While the quick service, PizzeRizzo will close alongside Muppet Vision 3D on June 7, 2025. At this time, Disney has not announced when Rock n Roller Coaster will close to make way for the Muppets take over of this fantastic coaster.
