No one likes refurbishments that interrupt their Disney vacations. This is especially true if you have a once-in-a-lifetime bucket list trip planned.

While there are hundreds of things to do on a Disney vacation, an attraction closure can still sting! It is especially true if the attraction is a popular e-ticket attraction or a beloved classic.

Unfortunately, it is a reality that keeps parkgoers safe! And, now that reality is setting in for another popular attraction.

Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! is an extremely popular ride for Disney Guests. This exciting thrill ride popped up on Disneyland’s refurbishment calendar for Disney California Adventure.

Right now, it looks like Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! will close on March 10, 2025. This could be disappointing news for those planning a spring visit.

Not only that, but it also diminishes the pool of attractions with Lightning Lane Multi Pass availability. Grizzly River Run will also be closed. So, the competition for the other Lightning Lanes could be a little steeper than usual.

When Will Guardians Reopen

So far there is not a reopening date noted. However, your Kenny the Pirate writing team will let you know when we find out more.

In the meantime, some other attractions will be fully refurbished and will be reopening by that time. Check out the reopening dates for the Disney Monorail and Railroad HERE. Hopefully “it’s a small world” will be back too.
