Some attractions continue to have the highest wait times at each Walt Disney World Park. We were shocked this morning when the highest wait time at Dinsey’s Animal Kingdom was not at the immersive World of Pandora. Find out how you can cut down on your wait time at this newly desired attraction.
Wait Times
Disney guests want to make the most of their time at the Parks by strategizing their favorite attractions first along with which characters are a “must-see”.
One great way to “Play more, wait less” is by following the touring plans on Character Locator. There are many touring plans tailored to each park.
Disney Resort guests can enjoy Early Entry. This allows them to enjoy the parks for 30 minutes before all other guests, which can help them enjoy the bigger attractions before the park “officially” opens.
Long Waits at Animal Kingdom
Typically at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the World of Pandora garners the longest wait times at this park. With both “Flight of Passage” and “Na’vi River Journey.” Now, another attraction is drawing quite the long wait times.
Last week, the newest Sumatran tiger cub, little baby Bakso, debuted with his mom at the Maharajah Jungle Trek in Asia. Baby Basko is only out for a limited time and crowds are flocking to see him.
The line is well over an hour and the line for this nature trail has now changed quite a bit. The exit is now the entrance to this attraction. Currently, Kali River Rapids is closed for refurbishment which seems to help keep the crowd congestion down a bit for these unexpected longer lines.
Best Time to Visit
Viewing Basko is a bit tricky as his viewing times can vary according to Disney, “Basko may not be in his habitat during all operating hours as his keepers are allowing him to choose when he wants to join his mom in the habitat.”
The line for baby Basko can be over an hour at times.
With the Maharajah Jungle Trek opening at 9:00 am, guests begin forming a line at 8:00 am with the park opening. If you really want to see baby Basko, this is the BEST option to be able to see him during your next trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, as he is often out during the early morning hours.
What do you think of these long wait times? Would you wait this long to see baby Basko? Share your thoughts with us, and share this news with your Disney pals.
