A Big Suprise Aboard the Kilimanjaro Safari

No two journeys aboard the Kilimanjaro Safari are quite the same, and this one was quite a surprise for guests. You will not want to miss this experience.

Surprise Guest

Kilimanjaro Safaris is a staple at Animal Kingdom. The experience takes guests on an 18-minute tour of the Harambe Wildlife Reserve. 

Here, guests can encounter a variety of animals. During the ride, they might spot lions, giraffes, zebras, hippos, warthogs, rhinos, giraffes, okapi, and dozens of other species of threatened and endangered animals. 

Disney just shared one of its most surprising guests along this wildlife preserve: Josh Gad. The voice of our favorite snowman, Olaf, was found “Earning My Ears” aboard the Kilimanjaro Safari. You do not want to miss the video of this experience.

Legendary Cast Member

When Disney fan Josh Gad was inducted as a Disney Legend back in 2022, he mentioned that he was rejected for his ultimate dream as a Jungle Cruise Skipper. In February 2023, Disney made his dream come true, and Gad led Disney Guests on a trip that went on for “Niles and Niles, and if you don’t believe me, you are in deNILE.” (sorry for the shameless Jungle Cruise joke)

Next, Gad donned his conductor cap aboard the Disneyland Railroad. He humorously admitted, “I am in no way qualified to be your tour guide.”

Now, Josh Gad is part of the Walt Disney World Cast Member family as a Kilimanjaro Safari guide. Before settling in for the journey, Gad checks in with Ranger, the adorable rhino that was born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom back in 2020.

Dream Fulfilled

After getting told that he couldn’t actually drive the truck for the safari, Gad settles in and welcomes guests with the disclaimer, “What is exciting for you, is I know nothing about animals.” You know they were pumped to hear what would come out of his mouth next.

Josh Gad can now add Kilimanjaro to his resume, to the surprise of guests.

Gad makes a few comedic observations, especially when one hippo chooses to nap behind a fellow hippo. The highlight is really when we get to hear Gad belt out the intro to The Lion King. Gad also forgets to spot a giraffe when the elusive squirrel darts by.
