Rundisney Springtime Suprise Weekend takes place April 3-6, 2025. This runDisney weekend has yoga, a 5k, a 10k, a 10-Miler, a Challenge (includes 5K, 10K, and 10-Miler), and the Springtime Splash.

At this time yoga is the only remaining event with availability.

This runDisney Weekend is usually the slowest to “sell out.” This is most likely due to it falling between Spring Breaks (so travel can be pricey) and it is also tends to very hot!

runDisney sent out emails today, letting Guests with pre-purchased tickets know that Disney has decided to cancel the Springtime Surprise Splash event. This is a separate hard ticket event, and not included with race entry.

The Springtime Surprise Splash event was to be held at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. It was a separate hard ticket event and not included with race entry.

The event was to offer access to the water park with a limited number of tickets available, Disney character sightings, DJ dance parties, select complimentary treats, and a special commemorative item. The event is no longer listed on the runDisney event page.

Guests who have pre-purchased tickets will receive a FULL refund. These Guests can expect to receive an email with the refund information soon.

runDisney encourages athletes and their families to celebrate in other ways at Walt Disney World. Disney shares that if they are staying at a Walt Disney World hotel, they can enjoy a water park on their check-in day! Tickets are also available for purchase, however, there is no information if ticket prices will be reduced for athletes and Guests as they have done for previous runDisney events.

The remaining events of the Springtime Surprise Weekend are still on as scheduled. runDisney has apologized for any disappointment that they have caused and hopes runners still enjoy the Springtime Surprise Weekend.

runDisney has advertised the Springtime Splash at multiple runDisney events at Walt Disney World. Could it be not enough tickets were sold? Would more people attend if it was included with race entry?
