Disney Cruise Line Announces The Disney Magic Will Be Sailing to a New Destination

Disney Cruise Line is sharing lots of exciting news this week. They just announced that the Disney Magic will be sailing to a new location for the first time next year. Find out where this new location will be!

Disney Cruise Line has a fleet of ships that travel the seas and explore the world! Disney Cruise Line will be expanding their fleet to have a total of 13 vessels. You can read more about that HERE.

Disney Cruise Line recently increased gratuities but also brought back the Dine and Play.

Disney Cruise Line travels all over, with destinations including Alaska, the Caribbean, Europe, and their private islands. Disney even has two private islands, Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay

New Destination For the Disney Magic

Disney Cruise Line has released the 2026 schedule of sailings, and this included the Disney Magic traveling to Alaska for the first time ever! Currently, the Disney Wonder is the only Disney Cruise vessel to sail to Alaska.

This will be the first time Disney has two ships sailing to Alaska!

On Select Sailings the Disney Magic will port at Ward Kove in Ketchikan, which will be another first for Disney Cruise Line! There is a possibility of a dry dock period before the sailings, in which it is rumored the Magic will receive hull reinforcement. This will make the ship able to handle the icy Alaskan waters.

Bookings

Early bookings are available for Castaway Club Members, eligible Golden Oak Members, Disney Vacation Club Members, or an Adventure Insider with Adventures by Disney. Summer 2026 sailings go on sale to the general public on February 17, 2025.

The Early Booking timeline is as follows:

• Pearl Castaway Club Members – Monday, February 10, 2025
• Platinum Castaway Club Members – Tuesday, February 11, 2025
• Golden Oak Club Members – Tuesday, February 11, 2025
• Gold Castaway Club Members – Wednesday, February 12, 2025
• Silver Castaway Club Members – Thursday, February 13, 2025
• Disney Vacation Club Members and Adventure Insiders – Thursday, February 13, 2025
