Disney Delays Opening of New Attraction

Disney fans had their calendars marked for this first-ever Walt Disney attraction, but this is now delayed. The good news is that we have a new official date, along with a great tribute to the Sherman brothers.

First Walt Disney attraction

Walt Disney was a true dreamer and an inspiration for so many. He is immortalized at Disney Parks around the globe, most often with statues.

These statues are probably photographed about as much as the Disney castles, but something is missing. With Walt Disney passing away in 1966, many Disney fans were unable to meet this true legend.

Last August, during the D23 Event, Disney shared that the first ever attraction dedicated to the legacy of Walt Disney is finally coming. Disney fans erupted with applause, and many started making plans to be among the first to enjoy this attraction.

“Walt Disney- A Magical Life”

Guests will be able to see Walt Disney through the magic of Audio-Animatronics technology in ‘Walt Disney – A Magical Life. ”

Set to open on May 16, 2025, at the Main Street Opera House at Disneyland, “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” is now delayed until July 17, 2025. The Opera House will also feature a great exhibit.

First will be an exhibit showcasing the history of Audio-Animatronics. Secondly, Disney fans can also view over 30 items provided by The Walt Disney Family Museum. This new opening timeframe celebrates the 70th anniversary of Disneyland.

Tribute to the Sherman Brothers

The success of the Sherman brothers led Walt Disney to hire them as staff songwriters for Walt Disney Studios. The Sherman Brothers will be honored on Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary with 2 touching tributes.

The “Walt Disney- A Magical Life” will open on July 17, 2025.

A short film, “Last Verse”, will be featured at Main Street Cinema. This film will showcase the new verse for the classic “it’s a small world” song. This new verse will also be added to the “it’s a small world” attraction starting July 17, 2025.
